16th Annual Wellness Village

Now in its 16th year, the annual Wellness Village is a free event open to the public that brings together clinics, health organizations, and the community to promote health education and provide free health screenings in a fun, lively environment. Activities include dental checks, hearing/sigh checks, flu shots, massage therapy, blood pressure checks, free food, live music, and cooking demonstrations among many others. This is a family event; children are welcome.

7th Annual Health Disparities Conference

The 7th annual Health Disparities Luncheon brings together health professionals, organizations, and community members to bring awareness to health disparities among African Americans and focuses on a specific new topic each year with a keynote speaker that is a leading professional on the topic as well as a member of the community that has been personally touched by the disparity. The Luncheon is also a kick-off event to the annual Wellness Village which takes place the following day.
