ANNUAL EVENTS
The annual HEALTH walk allows the AAHC to engage and educate the community in healthy living practices and raise money to sustain the free physical activity classes program. Join us for this family event. Activities and registration begin at 8 am. There will be food, music, face painting, a children's bounce house, and much more! The HEALTH Walk will be held Saturday, August 16, 2008. Click here for more information and registration.
Held every third Friday in October. The conference brings together local and state officials, health care providers, and community members to generate solutions to reduce health disparities. The Annual Health Disparities Conference will be held October 17.
African American Wellness Village
The Wellness Village is a family event, held the third Saturday in October. Community members, health care organizations, and exhibitors to come together for a day of free health screenings, health education, and fun activities. Wellness Week is always full of fun, educational activities the community
can enjoy each year during the third week of October, which Governor Kitzhaber
officially proclaimed African American Wellness Week.
